More Items of Interest about Peggy Brown

Peggy is not the only artist in the family.  Her husband, Jim, has taken many lovely photographs.  Because his  black and white photographs are printed on watercolor paper, they have a very soft painted quality.  Peggy and Jim both agree that as long as they don't work in the same media, they are more able to support each other and appreciate each others work.

As a hobby, Peggy collects and categorizes Indiana wildflowers.  Many of the specimens were found in the woods surrounding the Brown home outside of Nashville, Indiana.  Peggy lists where the plant was collected and the Latin name.  She has hundreds of pages of acid free paper with the dried specimens attached.  Some are fifteen years old.  She is hoping to one day donate them to Indiana University.

A sample of Peggy's pastime

Peggy has a small collection of "Chicago Cows."  Her son sent them as gifts.  Some have an arty theme like Starry Starry Cow and Moonet Bank.  She and Jim also collect art glass, wood carvings, and paintings.
